Rolls-Royce have announced that after it's 13 year production the 7th generation Phantom range will come to an end as the company look to new ventures. But the Phantom will not go out with a whimper as Rolls-Royce will offer a 'Zenith Collection' which will consist of 50 special models. Rolls Royce say that the collection will be 'the very pinnacle of automotive excellence' and will be the last batch of Phantoms made.
Each model will have bespoke instrument dials and will also have a special treatment of the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine. Every customer will also get a special gift of a 'money can't buy' portable momento and also the choice of memorable colour combinations from Rolls-Royce's history. Giles Taylor, Director of Design described the collection as, "The sum of all the best features of Phantom Coupé and Drophead Coupé, with a few surprises added. We expect huge demand for these 50 fine motor cars as we shall not look upon their like again."
Rolls-Royce will be bringing in an all new aluminum architecture which will be the base of all the models arriving in the market in 2018. The last few models will be produced at Goodwood where it started production in 2003. Since then they released the Drophead Coupe in 2007 and the Phantom Coupe in 2008. No prices have been released yet but it's safe to say the fee will be rather substantial!
