I apologise for the awful pun, I simply couldn't resist. A few moments ago I brought you news of a Scottish council redefining what is a pothole but it appears Skoda may have the answer. The Czech firm are now offering customers to advantage of their free check up to ensure that there have been no adverse of driving on bumpy roads. Although there may be no visible signs of damage when striking a pothole it can cause unseen problems to the suspension or the wheels.
It is said that 1 in 7 cars are damaged by potholes in the UK so this will come a relief to Skoda drivers. Skoda also offer spare wheels complete with tool kit as part of their accessories range and they will even offer to fit the spare wheel for you.
Warren Richards, Head of Service & Parts Operations for ŠKODA UK, commented: “At this time of year especially, it can be hard to spot a pothole whilst driving. Our free 'all around the wheel' safety checks take no longer than 30 minutes and will ensure all is well with the car. Though vehicles don’t always sustain damage, we advise customers not to take the chance and have one of our technicians take a look – just in case.”
