Classic Cars Auctions' Biggest Catalogue Yet

113 cars are to go under the hammer at the Classic Car Auctions' first sale of the year in what will be their biggest catalogue of cars. There should be something for everyone but the car set to headline the auction at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre is a 1966 Ford Mustang 289 2+2 Fastback. This model has been expertly restored with work being carried out on the bodywork, interior, engine and the gearbox. It is highly desirable and is to believed to be one of the best examples on the market. It is estimated to fetch around £34,000-£38,000 and will go in to the auction six other American classics.

Speaking of Ford, a rare 1985 Sierra XR8 will also be on sale which is estimated at £8,000-£10,000 and is only one of 250 made. Looking for something a bit more modern? Then you could have a look at 2000 Subaru Impreza P1 Prodrive Limited Edition (that's a mouthful!) which is estimated at £10,000-£12,000 with only 669 being produced. That's a bit of a bargain if you ask me!

Or if you want something more exclusive than you could opt for the 2005 Maserati Quattroporte V which was owned by none other than Sir Elton John, estmiated at only £15,000-£17,000. The car that is...not Elton John. I imagine his much more expensive! Other cars to be listed include the Aston Martin barn finds - why are cars being left in barns? - and the Duke of Westminster's Fiat Topolino.

Commenting on the sale this weekend, CCA general manager, Guy Lees-Milne, said: "This is our biggest catalogue yet and we have a fantastic selection of classic and modern cars on offer in our first sale of the year. With so many cars on offer, many with fascinating histories and provenance, we’re expecting a packed auction hall on sale day."
