A 1952 Ferrari 225E has been restored back to showroom standard after the poor car was ravaged by fire around 30 years ago. The restoration was painstaking, taking 2 years to complete but when you see the finished product I'm sure you'll agree it was time very well spent. The work was undertaken by Ferrari Classiche who received the car from current Argentinian owner who has not been named.
However, there was an added challenge as Ferrari Classiche did not have a lot of original information to work from. For example the interior had to be made using all the photos of other 225E interiors they could find as well as digging into the factory's archives. A lot needed to be done to get this 225E back into a pranching horse rather than a stumbling donkey, with a complete engine rebuild being carried out, on top of the much needed work to the interior and bodyshell.
One of the former owners had attempted to restore the Ferrari in the 80s but it proved a task too big, but thankfully it's current owner took the project on and gave the car it's much deserved former glory. You cannot deny how great it looks with the navy blue body with it's contrasting white roof. Was it all worth it? You're damn right it was well worth it!
