Another day, another blow for the Top Gear crew. Today's tale of woe sees the Top Gear crew facing a bill of £500,000 for a trip they cannot even embark on. From the crew were presenters Rory Reid, Sabine Schmitz and Eddie Jordan, as well as a production crew of around 40.
Things seems be going well until their flight from Moscow to Kazakhstan hit problems after there was a dispute between Kazakhstan and AeroFlot, a Russian airline. This meant the Top Gear ensemble had no choice but to return to the UK having filmed absolutely nothing, yet paying around £500,000 for the privilege.
The BBC who are already under a lot of pressure from the new series of Top Gear were quick to comment and stated that the incident had nothing do with the hit show and that it was purely between Russia and Kazakhstan. A insider from the show commented: A show insider added: “The Top Gear team had all the correct visas but this issue was down to a row between Aeroflot and Kazakhstan and everyone on the flight was told to get off.
“The show has insurance to cover stuff like this and they intend to shoot the film at a later date and factor it into the show further on in the series.”
Will the new series take off in style? or will it fail to take off? Is the new series just simply destined to fail?
The new series will return in May. Probably.
