This week saw the unveiling of the hotly anticipated Tesla Model 3 at a presentation hosted by CEO Elon Musk in California. The car will cost $35,000 and has been dubbed as a 'car for the masses' with deliveries arriving 2017. Musk is very confident of the Model 3's value for money, stating: "you will not be able to buy a better car for $35,000, even with no options." The new model looks great, with it's sweeping curves and it's large glass roof, which gives the design a real focal point.
What Are The Headlines?
The Model 3 has space for 5 passengers and will provide plenty of storage as well, with a boot at the front and rear of the car. Its batteries give the Model 3 a 0-60 time of around 6 seconds and a range of at least 215 miles.
It also have Autopilot hardware to help keep the car safe as Musk aims to get 5 stars in all 3 categories for safety. In the cabin the Model 3 has a 15" inch touchscreen which is raised out of the dashboard and holds all the information and functions that the driver will need to access.
The Model 3 has not gone into production yet and will be delivered late 2017.
