Bentley have today unveiled its new GT Speed which is the British firm's fastest production car, with a top speed of 206 mph, plus a 'Black Edition',
Same Engine, More Grunt
To achieve this feat, Bentley's engineers have worked hard to squeeze 7 bhp from the large 6.0 litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine, taking it from 626 bhp to 633. It may not sound like much but it does make a difference as it also means that the GT Speed gets an extra 20Nm of toque, taking it up to a tyre-shredding 840Nm. As mentioned, the top speed is 206 mph, with a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds. Not bad for a car that weighs over 2 tonne.
Black Edition
As well as the new GT Speed, Bentley have also unveiled a new Black Edition which will be available in a coupe body or a convertible. These new models will feature 21" black five-spoke wheels that cover brake calipers that come in either red or black. The exterior also features a gloss black finish to the window openings and lamp bezels.

Customers will also be able to choose four colours for the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser. These include hallmark, beluga, St James' Red and the new - and rather bright - cyber yellow. In the cabin, carbon fibre can be found on the fascia, centre and roof consoles, with seats and the centre console surrounded by contrasting leather, available in Porpoise, Beluga, Pillar Box Red or new Cyber Yellow colours.
The new models are available to order now and deliveries will be made in the summer. The GT Speed costs £168,900 and the Black Edition is £176,900.
