German carmaker Mercedes-Benz are now taking orders for the new S-Class Cabriolet, priced from £110,120, with deliveries taking place in the summer. This new S-Class Cabriolet is the first open top S-Class since the W111 in 1971.
The new model is available in two trims, AMG Line and AMG, priced at £110,120 for the AMG Line and either £135,675 or £192,805 for the AMG trim, depending on which one you pick. Let's kick of with the 'bargain' of the bunch, the S500 AMG Line, it features a 4.6 litre engine which is capable of chucking out 455 bhp and is mated with Mercedes-Benz's 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic gearbox. This translates to a top speed of a limited 155 mph and a 0-62 time of 4.6 seconds.
If that isn't quite quick enough for you then you can opt for either S63 and S65 which also both have a top speed of 155 mph (limited), although these two models can be pushed up to 186 mph thanks to the AMG Driver's Package. They are quicker to 62 mph though, as the S63 gets there in 4.2 seconds and the S65 gets there marginally quicker at 4.1 seconds. Despite their similar 0-62 times, the two models have different engines, the S63 opts for a 5.5 litre twin-turbocharged V8 which kicks out 585 bhp, whereas the S65 goes for a meaty 6.0 litre twin-turbocharged V12 which pushes out a very impressive 630 bhp.
The S65 also features LED intelligent light system with Swarovski crystals, AMG sports exhaust system to provide plenty of noise, 20-inch alloy wheels, plus V12 BITURBO badges. In the cabin there is exclusive Nappa leather with diamond quilting, a heated steering wheel plus a Burmester 3D surround system with 'only' 23 speakers.
A three models are available now, with deliveries coming in the summer.
