A Formula One car from the 90s driven by Michael Schumacher will go under the hammer at a Bonhams auction next month in Monaco.

The car in question is a Ford-Benetton B191B which was not only raced by Schumacher, but also driven another world champion, Nelson Piquet , as well as F1 commentator and ex-racer Martin Bundle. This car helped Schumacher gain his first-ever podium finish when he competed in the 1992 Mexico Grand Prix. So it's fair to say that the car has a very healthy pedigree and is expected to go for at least £180,000. In its prime the Ford-Benetton was able to produce 730 bhp from its 3.5 litre V8 engine and was capable of a barn-storming 13,800 rpm.
The car sports its original liveries and has been described as being in 'race condition'. Despite a prediction for the racer to sell for £180,000 or more, it has no reserve so you may be able to get a bargain. Ok, that's very unlikely but you never know, anything can happen...
