Applications have now opened for Ford's supercar, the GT, with only 500 models available from the first two years' production. Submissions for car are being made via FordGt.com, with potential customers looking to get their hands on the new supercar.
Ford will offer an all-new GT Concierge Service, which will offer personalised purchase experience to make the process unique and tailor-made to each individual. 250 models will come in the first year of production, with the other half coming in the second year.
With only 500 models being produced this will be one of the rarest Ford products ever so competition will be fierce as this car will be heavily sought after. Potential customers can customise their dream GT using the configurator on the website and will be able to choose from eight exterior colours which can be paired with seven different stripe colours.
Ford say that the GT is the most advanced car they will have ever produced and feature the latest aerodynamic technology as well as offering the latest lightweight materials and Ford's award winning EcoBoost engines.
“The purchase process for the Ford GT is as unique as our all-new supercar,” said Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance. “We understand GT customers are strong ambassadors for Ford Motor Company and we look forward to providing them a service as distinct as the car itself.”
Applications close on May the 12th and production for the new model will start towards the end of this year so buyers will have a bit of a wait on their hands but I'm sure it will be completely worth it.
