One of my pet hates when driving is people using their mobile phones, I can't stand it. If it's that important then just pull over and do everyone available. But using a laptop whilst driving? That takes it to a whole new level.
This news comes from London and was caught on camera by cyclist Lewis Dediare. He was rather bemused when he pulled up next a black Audi to find there was a woman in the driver's seat operating a laptop. Dediare challenged the driver as soon as he saw what she was doing.
She was rather angry about the challenege and responsed with “It’s a red light. What I’m doing isn’t anything to do with you. It’s a red light, just carry on." She then went on to comment: “It’s a red light and I’ve got my car in park." Yeah, as if they makes it perfectly fine...
Once the green light came she sped off leaving Mr Dediare to ponder on what had just happened. Speaking on the incident, he said: “Her argument was that because she was at the traffic light she could use it, but that is far from the case. I want her to be sent to driving school.
“When the light turned green she was so angry that she sped off and almost clipped the motorcyclist in front of her. It was careless driving. She could have hit someone.
“I am definitely going to report her to the police. She needs to learn a lesson, which I think would be a good thing if she really does think it is OK to use a laptop at a red light.”
Too right mate, there is no excuse to use a laptop whilst driving a car.
