A McLaren F1 that was one of the very last to be produced will be offered in concours
condition by the British firm. It has covered just 2,800 miles and will be presented with the limited edition owner's watch upon delivery.
The price of the car has not been revealed but I would anticipate the price will be over the million pound mark as this is one of only 64 roadcars produced and it was the fastest car in the world in its heyday. The car has been maintained by McLaren Special Operations who offers continued maintenance and management of F1s all over the world.
The model on sale is chassis #069 and was produced in 1998, the last year of production of the car. It was the 60th model made overall and was hand-built in Woking, England. It has a 6.1 litre V12 engine that produces a very generous 627 bhp which was able to propel the hypercar to a top speed of a world-breaking 242.8 mph. Even to this day, it still holds the title of the fastest naturally-aspirated production car ever built.
The car was designed by Gordon Murray and Peter Stevens using cutting edge F1 technology and expertise. One of the most famous features of the F1 is its driving position, it's central as opposed to left or right-hand drive with space behind the driver for a passenger either side. The F1 also featured a full carbon fibre chassis and an engine bay lined in gold no-less.
