Mini's New Seven

Mini have announced a new design Mini which is the first of the current generation of Mini models. It is available and now costs from £18,545. It will be offered in a three-door and five-door hatchback guise and will be available four engine types: Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD.

What do you get and why is it called the 'Seven'?

It is called the Seven after the 1959 Austin Seven, the first mini to ever be released. It comes in an exclusive colour called Lapisluxury Blue and the brand say it is most intensive blue ever to be applied to a Mini. However if that is not too to your taste you can pick from three alternatives, Pepper White, Midnight Black and British Racing Green.

No matter what colour you pick though the Seven will receive a Melting Silver - yes that is the actual name - roof with matching coloured with mirrors. If you choose to have the racing stripes they will also come in Melting Silver and will be surround by a thin Malt Brown stripe. On the side wings the Seven receives exclusive 'Seven' logos to distinguish it from regular Minis.

The Seven logos continue inside the interior and can be found on the door sill trims and centre console display. The Malt Brown also continues inside and adorns the seat in a diamond finish designed exclusively for the Seven. Also exclusive to the Seven are the 17 inch alloys that come in a two-tone design.

Bespoke Chilli package

The Seven also comes with the option of its own bespoke Seven Chilli pack which includes Lounge Leather upholstery in Carbon Black, Walk Nappa leather steering wheel with multi-function controls, LED headlights and cruise control with brake function. This would add to the automatic dual-zone air conditioning, Mini Visual Boost 6.5" display, Mini Connected services and Bluetooth connectivity with USB radio.

The car is available to buy now and will be go on show at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed which takes place between the 23rd and 26th of June.
