SEAT have today announced the prices for the Ateca, the first SUV to be produced by the brand. There will also be a First Edition model which will be available to the first 200 buyers in the UK.
Prices will start at £17,999 for the base model Ateca but if you fancy getting your hands on the First Editon you will be looking at £21,995 for the 1.0 litre TSI which produces 113 bhp and £24,305 for the 1.6 litre TDI diesel which also gives 113 bhp. Three colours will be available, Nevada White, Rodium Grey and Samoa Orange.
The First Edition comes as a result of SEAT's 'lifestyle configurator' which used crowd-sourced information from also 13,000 people. The Spanish brand chose this approach as they were keen to 'tap into the British psyche', in order to find the 'perfect recipe for a compact SUV'. But what does it actually feature?
What comes with First Edition?
Well it will feature a fair bit and it's also better value for money as it provides a £1,100 saving compared to speccing up a standard Ateca SE to the same level. The First Edition will feature satellite navigation, rear parking sensors, keyless entry and an electric tailgate. In terms of style, there are 18" bi-colour alloy wheels, rear tinted windows as well as the three colours mentioned earlier.
What about the other models?
If you are not lucky enough to get the First Edition then fear not as there will be three other models on offer, the S, SE and Xcellence. The S is the base model, starting at £17,990 and comes with multimedia system, 16" alloy wheels and air conditioning. The SE comes with 17" alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, Full Link system and is priced at £19,590.
