Today Vauxhall have released pictures of its new Zafira Tourer which will hit showrooms later this year but prices and engine choices are yet to be revealed.
A nicer place to be
Vauxhall have worked hard to make the new model a nice place to be and have improved the ergonomics of the cabin. The new car will feature a completely new interior as well as a new instrument panel which should give improved forward visibility thanks to its one-piece design.
Inside there will be space for seven and getting comfortable should be a doddle for the driver and their front passenger as they can make use of the six-way adjustable seat functionality that featured on the last model. Those in the second row can make use of the Lounge Seating system where the middle seat can be used as an armrest for the outer passengers when folded down. A panoramic roof will be able to give an airy feel and provide the occupants of plenty of light coming into the car.
A new three-dimensionally sculptured steering wheel has been put in place to help further improve driver ergonomics and also makes use of efficient airbag packaging to help it look more stylish. The screen of the infotainment system that used to sit on on the top of the centre console has now gone and has been replaced by an integrated screen which has helped to create a more clutter-free dashboard.
Enlightening design
The new Zafira Tourer features a new headlight design that is enhanced and also adds to the car's new style as they blend in with the chrome logo bar to make the car look wider. The 'Vauxhall Double Wing' daytime running lights help to characterise the new cluster light design.
Vauxhall have been hard at work in the lighting department and as a result the Zafira Tourer will have Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL) LED lights. The lights will automatically adapt to the driving situation and the environment, ensuring that the best level of light is available without blinding oncoming traffic. It features not one, not two, but nine different functions lighting patterns in total so the car should be prepared for every eventuality.
More details about prices and power options should come closer to the car's release later this year.
