The eagerly awaited Skoda Kodiaq will offer style and functionality, stating the new car is ‘functionality at its most attractive’. It has to be said it does look rather good and the sharp lines give it a fresh modern look. Lines which are described by the Czech brand as ‘three-dimensional’ giving the car more presence on the road. A lot of details are still to be confirmed but what we do know is that the Kodiaq will make its world premiere in September.
The front headlights are flat and raked to give a cutting edge look and feature a crystalline structure which pays hommage to Czech crystal glass art. In the middle of them sits a wide grille which bears the famous Skoda logo above it.
The interior follows the same design language but the Kodiaq has been designed to give substance to go with the style. The car is set to offer a high level of functionality and offers an interior is not only elegant but will be protective and robust, making it perfect for family living. Who said family cars had to be plain?
The sketches by the Skoda Design team certainly make for a striking looking car but I’ll look forward for more details and pricing which should come later in the year.
