Peugeot Add GT Line And GT To 3008 Range

This week Peugeot announced it will be adding the GT Line and GT trim to the forthcoming 3008 SUV. The two trim models will add a sportier edge to the 3008 but what's included?

Up-Market and sporty

Peugeot state that the GT Line and GT trims are to help the 3008 become up-market, in fact the word 'up-market' features quite a few times in the press release from 3008. There will be a good level of equipment on offer, the GT Line features full LED headlights with progressive indicators - very cool in opinion, 3D satellite navigation with 3 years' TomTom Live subscription, smartphone charging plate and Safety Plus pack. Buyers will have a choice of either a BlueHDi diesel or PureTech and e-THP petrol engines.

The GT is the top of the range model and adds the following to the GT Line trim: a sportier appearance, 19" alloy wheels, Nappa Mistral leather seats, panoramic opening glass roof with electric blind and blue ambient lighting, Adaptive Cruise Control (with Stop Function) and smart electric tailgate. Powering the GT will be a 2.0 litre BlueHDi S & S 180bhp engine which is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.

As with all the 3008 models the GT Line and GT will come with Peugeot's i-Cockpit which makes use of a 12.3" screen that sits high on the dashboard in front of the driver. It will display key information without the driver having to take their eyes of the road, making the drive a safer experience. There is also a 8" touchscreen pad on the centre console to further add to the up-market feel Peugeot are aiming for.

The sporty styling should help to set it aside from the lower spec 3008 models but if you fancy a bolder look you can opt for a special paint option called ' Coupe Franche'. It gives the car a bold two-tone design which is bound to make it stand out in the every-growing SUV crowd. Both the GT Line and GT as well as the other 3008 models will be available to buy from November this with deliveries coming early 2017.
