They've Made 99 Zagatos But They've All Been Sold

For those of who said that headline to the tune of Jay-Z's 99 Problems I'm glad you understood the reference. For those for you who didn't, think about it and you'll see what I've done. Anyway I am digressing - already. A few weeks ago I brought you the bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Concept and now the concept is very much a reality. However, there is one problem, well 99 problems come to think of it - only 99 will be made and they've all been sold.

Even the price tag of £500,000 wasn't enough to deter buyers but let's face it, when the car looks this good, you could probably charge anything for it. That may seem pricey but the car you get is not only designed by Aston Martin but also by Italian design house Zagato. It's not the first time the two companies have teamed up and judging by this fine effort it begs the question, why don't do collaborate more often?

The £500,000 moving artwork is fitted with a 6.0 litre V12 engine which delivers 592bhp and will get to 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds - faster than the new DB11. The only problem is the faster you go the less others can admire the car which is a real shame as there is a lot to enjoy. It's taken styling inspiration from Astons past and present, for example the rear end is similar to the DB11, the wing mirrors are closely related to the One-77, bladed LED technology from the Vulcan and of course, the double bubble roof which has come from past Zagato designed model.

The body is made from carbon fibre using large one-piece body panels which significantly reduces the split lines in the bodywork. The inside features bold black and red leather interior seats which are home to unique 'Z' quilt pattern. That same pattern can also be found on the door sections and there is an embossed 'Z' logo on the headrests plus a stitched 'Z' on the centre console.

If you want to fall in love even more you can watch the video below but I warn you, don't fall for it too hard as it's very unlikely you will ever get to drive one let alone see it.
