Renault Extends Captur Range

Renault has extended its Captur range by adding a new trim level as well as a new TCe 120 engine. The new trim now serves as the top of the range and is named the Iconic Nav Special Edition. It’s available now and is priced at £19,175 which puts it around same cost as the Nissan Juke Tekna Exterior+ Pack.

One of the first things that will catch your with the new Captur is the diamond black roof and door mirrors which feature a sweeping blue line design. This is exclusive to the Iconic Nav as is the Artic White pearlescent paint which adorns the rest of the car. Helping to complete the package are 17” alloy wheels which feature black inserts and a blue Renault diamond centre cap.

I’ve not been a massive fan of the Captur’s styling but this model looks pretty good with the white paintwork and the sweeping blue lines help give it some colour. The blue theme continues inside the cabin – blue stitching can be found on the cloth/leather upholstery and the steering wheel. Aluminium pedals and matt black styling help to finish the interior design.

The Iconic Nav will boast feature such as heated front seats, Renault’s Grip Xtend traction control system, touchscreen infotainment system with European mapping, reversing camera and electrochrome rear view mirror.

Also new to the range is a 1.2 litre TCe 120 engine which offers 120bhp. It will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and will be made available from Dynamique Nav trim level and above. It has a claimed mpg figure of 51.4mpg (combined cycle) and produces 125g/km.
