Fly Fishing By J R Bentley

Buyers demand many things from cars these days, air con, sat nav, Bluetooth, etc. but what about those who are looking for fishing accessories? Well thankfully Bentley can now cater for those needs with its Bentayga Fly Fishing by Mulliner – yes that’s the car’s actual name.

The new model features a premium fishing kit in the boot of the car that is made with typically high levels of luxury and craftsmanship. Saddle leather is used to trim the unit whilst linen cross-stitching helps keep it together. This piece of luxury kit is made of three separate units that house a variety of fishing paraphernalia.

Making up the three units are a master tackle station, a refreshment case and a waterproof wader-stowage trunk. Both the master tackle station and refreshment case sit in sliding trays for easy access and a burr walnut veneered drawer also makes up the master tackle unit which houses a fly-tying vice and tools as well as selection of cotton, hooks and feathers.

Four fishing rods can be found in leather trimmed tubes that sit on the underside of the parcel shelf whilst a pair of landing nets can be found in a carpet-trimmed pocket in the side of the boot. Don’t worry about ruining the luxury SUV though as the boot floor is waterproof and an electronic dehumidifier is on hand to keep the back nice and dry. Rear-sill protection covers are also installed to further aid protection on the Bentayga.

If you’d rather not have the fishing gear in there altogether then it can be removed to give maximum luggage capacity. The Mulliner also brings a new feature to the Bentayga in the form of ‘Welcome Lights’, these are located on the underside of the doors and project the Bentley and Mulliner logos on the ground when the doors are opened. Personal logos or graphics can be added however, to give customers the option to make their Bentyga more unique.
