Mercedes-Benz has announced prices for the forthcoming E-Class estate with prices starting at £37,935 for the base model E220d SE and £40,430 for the E220d AMG Line model. Prices for the E350d and the barn-storming AMG model haven’t been announced as of yet but will come later this year.
Powering the E200d is a new four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 194bhp and offers combined fuel economy of 67.3mpg. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and will get the premium estate to 62mph in a respectable 7.7 seconds.

The E220d SE comes with a raft of technology including Garmin satellite navigation, agility control suspension, easy-pack automatic tailgate, parking assists with reversing camera, keyless-go capability and DAB radio. There is also LED interior lighting which has no fewer than 64 settings – is this really needed? The outside of the car receives chrome roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels in a five-spoke design.
Opt for the AMG Line and you'll receive AMG exterior styling, bigger alloy wheels finished in titanium grey, a dashboard lined in Artico leather, AMG sports pedals, black ash wood trim and a steering wheel finished in Nappa leather.
Both models are available to order now but if you’ll need to have more patience if you are looking to get the E350d or AMG E43 models.
