Citroen has announced a new model to its C1 range - the C1 Furio. It goes on sale next week - 1st of August to be exact - and will start from £10,885.
The idea is that the sporty looks will entice younger buyers who will fall for it's funky styling but don't expect hot hatch performance. It comes in three-door only and will come with a choice of two engines - a VTi petrol which produces 68bhp and a PureTech petrol 82bhp.
Let's be honest though, this car is more about a sport style rather than rivalling a Fiesta ST - black 15" 'Planet' alloy wheels are fitted to each corner of the car, as well as rear diffusor and centred exhaust outlet. Lipizzan White and Carlinite Grey can be specified for the exterior, which is contrasted by Sunrise Red door mirrors and bold graphics.
The car is bound to appeal to younger buyers who are looking for a small sporty hatchback without the drawback of high insurance. The MG3 could be another good alternative though as it handles well like a hot hatch and it's even cheaper with prices starting £8,399 - or you could go for the Twingo GT which I think is a better looking car compared to the C1.
The Twingo GT also has the highest power output of the three with 108bhp coming from the three-cylinder engine. The price is likely to be higher though so that's something to bear in mind.
