Honey I Shrunk The BRABUS

smart has revised the line-up of its range and has no included the new BRABUS sport line which is priced from £13,810.

BRABUS design, but modest performance

The new smart range may have BRABUS in its ranks but don't expect buckets of performance - just 90bhp will on tap in the little city car. It will look part though as it features matt grey 17" alloy wheels, BRABUS front splitter and rear apron finished in black complete the exterior styling and the interior features BRABUS logos as well as sports steering wheel and stainless steel pedals.

So sadly it talks the talk but but it does not walk the walk, but what's in the rest of the range?

It looks mean but the punch it'll deliver will be modest at most

Prime Time

A prime port trim has also been aded to the range which starts £12,415 for the 71bhp engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It features a perforated leather sports steering wheel, sports suspension which lowers the car by 10mm, chrome exhaust and 16" alloy wheels. This is on top of the features you'd get in the Prime model which include heated front seats finished in black leather, sunglasses holder and 15" alloys.

Raising the (fabric) roof

The base model passion trim now receives a solid roof with fabric cover on the fortwo coupe models and features such as automatic climate control, smart audio system, multifunction leather steering wheel and silver 15" alloy wheels can be found across the whole passion range. forfour models on the other hand now have the option of choosing a cadmium red front grille as well as black, white, silver, grey or yellow, all free of charge.

What do you think of the new BRABUS model? Smart addition or would you give it a miss?
