Ford has now extended the ST-Line to the Fora Kuga, prices start from £25,845 with deliveries expected at the end of the year.
ST-Line puts the Sport in Sport Utility Vehicle
The Kuga is the latest Ford model to receive the ST-Line treatment and as you'd expect there are some sporty touches in the SUV. The front grille is finished in high-gloss Ebony Black whilst the lower part is features a honeycomb design. The Ebony Black extends to the beltline beneath the windows as well as the rear skid plate.
The Kuga sits on either 18 or 19-inch wheels depending on choice and both will be finished in black. Black roof rails can be found on the top with tinted lights at the front and rear plus tinted windows for the rear. Sport seats are installed in the front (naturally) and finished in partial leather, whilst the centre console is finished in a special two-layer metallic-effect Deep Space colour.
It's not just the cosmetics that have been given a sporty edge though - thicker anti-roll bars are in place and the ride height has been dropped by 10mm to give a more dynamic handling performance. The suspension has been beefed up to meet the demands of a more exuberant drive but the spring and damper rates have been tuned to ensure the Kuga ST-Line is comfortable enough for everyday driving.
What about power?
The ST-Line will benefit from the full engine range from the Kuga, adding plenty of flexibility. Diesel options include the 1.5 litre TDCI which delivers 118bhp, 64.2mpg and 115g/km of CO2 emissions whilst the 2.0 litre TDCi delivers 150 bhp and can be mounted to either front-wheel drive or Ford's Intelligent AWD. The 2.0 litre unit will deliver economy from 60.1mpg and 122g/km CO2 emissions.
There is also a 178bhp variant available which delivers 54.3mpg and 134g/km of CO2 emissions. A 1.5 litre EcoBoost petrol is also available and comes in three outputs - 118bhp, 150bhp and 180bhp. The 180bhp variant also comes with Ford's Intelligent AWD and delivers 38.2mpg and 171g/km of CO2 emissions.
