Skoda is at again - the Czech brand has released some more images of what the new Kodiaq will look like ahead of its global launch next month.
Skoda says the SUV - its first ever made - will transfer the brand's new design language to the SUV segment and I think it's fair to say it looks pretty good. At the front you will get the familiar Skoda grille which is joined by narrow, raked headlights featuring full LED technology. The rear also features LED technology in a distinctive C-shape to help it stand out in the densely populated SUV crowd.
Other highlights of the new Kodiaq will be the amount of space and functionally on offer - the boot capacity ranges from 720 to 2,065 litres, making it the largest boot in its class. It will also be offered in a seven seat configuration - a first for the brand. The front passenger seat can be folded down too, this will give drivers the option to transport objects to 2.9 metres long - handy for those trips to B&Q.
It doesn't stop there though - the Kodiaq will also have more technology than you can shake a stick at. Area View, Skoda Connect, Care Connect and Tow Assist are just some of the services buyers can benefit from in the new model. Area View uses surround-view cameras to give an all-round image of the immediate surroundings - similar to the system used in the Nissan Qashqai.
Skoda Connect provides the infotainment system and navigation whilst the Care Connect service notifies the emergency services in the event of a crash and the Tow Assist, well that helps with towing - naturally.
The Kodiaq will be unveiled on the 1st of September in Berlin.
Oh I do like those alloys
