New Alfa Romeo Mito Hits Showrooms

The new Alfa Romeo Mito has now gone sale with prices starting from £12,960, but what does the updated model offer to buyers?

Giulia inspired styling

The new Mito has been given styling tweaks to bring it closer to that of the new Giulia. This means a new sports grille has been installed as well as a revised front bumper, new alloy wheels and dark-finish headlamp bezels. Step inside the small Italian hatchback and you'll find new and improved seal upholstery, Uconnect live services and a new styling on the centre console.

All change!

The trim levels has been renamed so the entry-level 'Progression' will now be replaced by a trim simply named 'Alfa Romeo Mito'. This trim offers new 16-inch alloy wheels, satin chrome-effect exterior detailing, air conditioning, Alfa DNA driving selector, rear spoiler and a 5" Uconnect infotainment system. This trim will have a choice either a 78bhp 1.4 litre petrol engine, a 105bhp 0.9 litre TwinAir petrol engine and and an updated 1.3 litre JTDM-2 diesel engine that offers 95bhp.

The 'Distinctive' trim level has now been replaced by 'Alfa Romeo Mito Super' which adds cruise control, 17" alloy wheels, front fog lamps, Eco-leather upholstery, aluminium sports pedals and satin effect door handles. The QV Line has now become the Alfa Romeo Mito Speciale includes a flat-bottomed steering wheel, darkened headlining, sports styling and sports seats finished in fabric and alcantara.

New kid in town

Last but not least is the new range-topping Alfa Romeo Mito Veloce which is powered by a 1.4 litre MultiAir petrol engine that offers a power output of 170bhp. It's mounted to Alfa's TCT automatic transmission and will get the Mito to 62mph 7.3 seconds, then on to a top speed of 136mph. The trim also brings 18" alloy wheels, sports suspension, brakes provided by Brembo, upgraded 5" Uconnect system and twin exhaust pipes. The price for this model is a bit steep though - £20,500 is what you'll need to cough up for this model.

All the models are available to order now from a price of £12,960.
