A very special collection of 12 cars formerly owned by royalty, politicians and celebrities will be offered at auction by Silverstone Auctions at its Classic Motor Show sale taking place at the NEC Birmingham on the 12th and 13th of November.
A very royal Bentley
The vocal point of the collection is a 2012 Bentley Mulsanne finished in Barnato Green which was built for none other than HM The Queen. Valued between £215,000 and £235,000, this was built for Diamond Jubilee tour of Great Britain and was also famously used to transport her Maj to her only cabinet meeting at Downing Street in 2012. Special additions to this Mulsanne include front and rear blue flashing lights, kevlar reinforced tyres and armour protection.
That isn't the only car in the collection to be formerly owned by Her Majesty though, a 2001 Daimler Supercharged V8. Estimated between £50,000 and £60,000, this Daimler racked up more than 11,000 miles and featured an adapted armrest with a sliding compartment able to the fit The Queen's handbag in.
Princess Diana's Cabriolet
Also valued at £50,000-£60,000 is a Gomera Peral Audi Cabriolet from 1994 which once belonged to Princess Diana. Finished with Parchment leather and cream carpets, this 2.3 litre droptop covered around 4,000 miles and was now and then photographed with princes Harry and William riding as passengers.
What else?
The collection also features four Rolls Royce models that once belonged to HRH Princess Margaret and there's even room for a 2005 Rolls-Royce Phantom that belonged to a different type of royalty, music legend Elton John. Rounding up the collection is a 1972 Fiat 500L bought by David Cameron as a present for his wife Samantha - much better than that Micra! - plus a 1987 Bristol Brigand owned by Will Young and last but not least, a 1976 Bentley T1 owned by the late Michael Winner.

Speaking ahead of the sale of the very special collection, managing director of Silverstone Auctions, Nick Whale, comments: “It’s an honour for Silverstone Auctions to offer cars with such amazing provenance, cars that belonged to HM The Queen, as well as being owned by some of the most influential personalities of the Twentieth Century. We anticipate a huge amount of interest in these cars from across the globe. These cars have been wonderfully cared for over their lifetimes and we look forward to finding them new homes.”
