Nissan has arguably one of the best SUVs in the market in the form of the Qashqai so you'd forgive the Japanese brand for lighting up a fat cigar whilst stating; "I love it when a plan comes together." However, its not resting on its laurels and it has made the hit Qashqai even better, which is just as well as every brand is keen to take Nissan's crown.
What's changed?
The changes aren' t exactly radical but they are still worth noting, especially as it will save you money. Oh and the planet. I may have exaggerated that last point but you'll get what I mean in a moment. Nissan is now able to offer specially designed tyres which are to be wrapped around a set of 18" alloys. The tyres offer a lower roll-resistance and improved efficiency so hopefully you'll spend less time at the pumps.
There will be savings to be had in VED as well - £130 can be saved on some models and BIK has dropped to as low as 19%. In terms of CO2 emissions, the Qashqai is now able to drop below 100g/km while offering a combined fuel economy of 74.3mpg when the dCi 110 engine is selected.
Kieran McMenamin, Category Manager for Qashqai at Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd said; ‘Qashqai has always offered a great balance of style, technology and affordability so we’re delighted we’re improving the model yet again with these wheel improvements that will reduce cost of ownership, improve environmental credentials and add presence with the slightly larger alloy size.’
