Ford Starts Deliveries Of New GT

Christmas can be a very special time of year, a time where if you wish hard enough you may get what you've always wanted. For a very lucky few, that special something will be the new Ford GT, a car which has been most sought after with thousands of applications being submitted for the new supercar.

Some of those successful will be lucky enough to receive their very own Ford GT this Christmas as the first few models have now rolled of Ford's Canadian production line in preparation to be delivered by Santa. To mark the occasion Raj Nair, Ford executive vice president, global product development, and chief technical officer (is that a long enough job title?!), drove one of the new GT models off the production line. Some people just need any excuse I suppose!

Nice colour...

"When we kicked off 2016, we had two primary objectives for our Ford GT supercar - to excel at Le Mans, and to start deliveries before year-end," says Nair. "We've achieved both." "For everyone involved in designing and developing this car, including all of our employees and suppliers, this is a moment to celebrate," he adds. "The all-new Ford GT is a showcase of our strength in innovation and our commitment to delivering more for our customers - especially related to light-weight materials, aerodynamics and EcoBoost® engine technologies."

Let's hope the new owners have a big enough Christmas tree to fit the car under. Nice problems to have I suppose...
