Production For New Micra Gets Underway

In my opinion one of the best looking cars to come out of 2016 was the all-new Nissan Micra. No, no need to put your reading glasses on, you read correctly. Now I'm not saying it was the best looking car but compared to previous Micra models, the new one looks like a Ferrari. Anyway, that aside, what I'm trying to get at is this may the first Micra you'd actually be excited about buying, and if you do happen to have your eye one on then I bring good news!

The first few cars have rolled off the Nissan's French production line with deliveries coming in major European markets in the middle of next month. The rest of the world will need to wait a little longer for their models to come - March to be more specifically. The new Micra has clearly been designed to excite and believe it or not, the Japanese brand also drafted in an ex-racing driver to help with the development.

Paul Willcox, Chairman, Nissan Europe, commented: “The start of production for the all-new Micra is a moment to be celebrated, embodying the spirit of co-operation which exists throughout the Renault-Nissan Alliance.”

He added: “We have taken the European compact car segment to a new level by focusing on what customers really want today and expect tomorrow. The all-new Nissan Micra is an exceptional car, characterised by its expressive design, uplifting interior and confident drive.”

As well as a more dynamic style and drive, the new Micra also features a BOSE personal audio system which is unique in its segment as well as the present day mod cons we have become accustomed such as air-conditioning, smartphone integration, DAB radio and so on. The new Nissan Micra is available to buy now with prices starting from £11,995.
