Picking a worthy candidate for this week's Weekend Window Shopping was tough to say the least as there was lots to choose from. In the end I decided to go with one of the true icons of the muscle car world - the Ford Mustang. The undisputed king of the muscle cars if you ask me but that is a debate for another time, so let's keep on topic.

A 1971 example with 51,000 miles on the clock is now up for sale for around the same price as the latest Mustang - £37,995. Manual fans will be disappointed though as it comes with a automatic gearbox. A big block should make up for it though - a 7.0 litre V8 Cobra Jet engine is slotted under the ginormous bonnet that seems to go on forever. Under that bonnet lives 370 wild American horses and 610Nm of torque.

It is of course an imported model so expect the steering wheel to be on the wrong side but power steering is equipped on this classic piece of muscle. This particular model has recently had a re-paint to its original red and black paintwork and the carpets have been replaced as well. The original paperwork and service history is also present to give prospective buyers peace of mind.

The Mustang Mach 1 was used in Diamonds Are Forever so in a way, you'd be buying a Bond car. Ok, I know it's a bit of a reach to call it a Bond car but it was driven by the man himself as he raced around the streets of Las Vegas. It's not the worst Bond car money can get your hands on, that's for sure.
